As Matt Leinart brings a new sense of hope to the Arizona Cardinals, he brings even more hope into the lives of underprivileged children at Balsz Elementary School in Phoenix. As a reward for outstanding school attendance and merit able classroom achievements, 100 dedicated students will be selected to attend a special youth football clinic sponsored by Desert Schools Federal Credit Union starring the Cardinals Heisman Trophy winner.

To demonstrate a never-ending commitment to education, Desert Schools has teamed up with Balsz Elementary School to help provide meaningful opportunities and support for the students at this low-income, Title I Elementary School.  "The students at Balsz are accomplishing so many amazing things," said Emma Garcia, Director of Community Development.  "As encouragement to continue on the path of educational excellence, we are recognizing these students and the positive choices they are making."

A recent USC graduate, Matt Leinart, knows the importance of a good. "I've faced many difficult decisions in life, however school was always one of my top priorities," said Leinart. "Being able to reward children for their hard work and commitment to their studies is something that I am so proud to be apart of."

This unique youth football clinic will take place on Monday, September 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Arizona Cardinal's Training Facility located at 8701 S. Hardy Drive in Tempe. During the clinic, the students will have the opportunity to learn basic football skills and interact with Matt Leinart. To celebrate this momentous occasion, all children will be given their
very own Cardinals water bottle.
